By installing and using MemTrace ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Extension.
Description of Service
MemTrace is a free Chrome browser extension that provides semantic search functionality for your browser history. The Extension offers:
- Unlimited access to search your entire browser history
- Normal keyword-based search
- AI-powered semantic search (requires your own NVIDIA API key)
- 100% local and private data storage
Third-Party Services
The Extension integrates with the following third-party service:
- NVIDIA NIM API: Used for AI-powered search. You must provide your own API key and comply with NVIDIA's terms of service.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of this third-party service.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use MemTrace only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
- Use the Extension to violate any local, state, national, or international law
- Redistribute or sell the Extension
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- That the Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
- That the Extension will meet your specific requirements
- The accuracy of search results
- Compatibility with future browser updates
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or browsing history
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Business interruption
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Extension
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension or via email if available.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction where the service provider is located, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
